A catch-all functionality that is activated for a given e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be vital in case you run some business, for example. Since you may start receiving spam, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters in order to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be very easy if you’ve got a web hosting package with us. You can activate this option through our advanced, albeit easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is integrated into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the shared web hosting account itself. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you’ve set up shown in alphabetical order and to the right of each of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately reveal to you if a specific mailbox receives all the messages pertaining to a given domain or not. With a single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you want. In case there is activated email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will get a notification from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be set up with a few mouse clicks if you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting package with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be administered via our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to create mailboxes using any domain name hosted there. To activate the catch-all functionality for a particular mailbox, you will need to click the button with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling this functionality can be done in the very same fashion and will not require more than one click either. If the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a particular domain name, you’ll receive a notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never disable or replace anything automatically.
